Notice from Music

Dear Parents,

Our final concert of this school year is quickly approaching! Students should be practicing three pieces in preparation for our concert: Shepherd's HeyDance of the Jabberwocky, and The Tempest. In addition, each instrument section will play a special piece to feature their section. Feel free to ask them for mini-concerts at home.

Here is some additional information to take note of:
  1. This letter was sent home a couple weeks ago with information about our evening performance on Tuesday, May 14. Band students should arrive dressed for the performance by 6:00pm and meet in the instrumental room (where we have band).
  2. Monday, May 6 is our final ASA band practice for this semester.
  3. All students must be dressed in white and black attire for our evening concert on Tuesday, May 14. This is an evening performance so we ask that students dress in dressier outfits (white button down shirt or white blouse; black trousers or skirt or black/white themed dress; black dress shoes and socks). Please send me an e-mail with pictures if you are unsure about the outfit. If you have the attire from our previous concert, please have your child try it on to see if it still fits.
  4. All students will need their instrument for our practice on Friday, May 10 (during the school day) and for our ES school performance on Monday, May 13 (also during the school day). Students will remain in school uniform for both daytime events.
  5. Since after school activities will be finished on the date of our concert (Tuesday, May 14), all students will go home on the bus or be picked up by parents at 3:00pm. There will be no supervision of students available until our meeting time for the performance later that evening (meet time is 6:00pm).
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support!

Kind regards,
Kim Endel
